Meghan’s significant comeback: all smiles alongside Prince Harry and admitting her ‘mistakes’
The Duchess of Sussex was one of the main stars of the TIME100 Summit held in New York.
While they continue to make headlines around the world, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle reappeared in New York, especially smiling and displaying a united image. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have made it clear that they remain as united as ever and, despite all the challenges they face , are carrying on with their lives as normal. This week it was Meghan’s turn, and her husband wanted to be by her side to accompany her.
The former Suits star attended the TIME100 Summit at Lincoln Center as a guest, and as expected, caused a huge stir . She looked sensational and very elegant, making a statement in a Ralph Lauren total look , combining an XXL beige jacket and pants suit with a white shirt and Manolo Blahnik heels. The couple arrived in a black SUV, and when they got out, the security detail surrounding them caught everyone’s attention .
It was made up of several people who were very attentive at all times, even monitoring who approached them. Harry seemed somewhat serious and uneasy, but his wife was happy and continued to greet everyone.
Once inside, the Duchess took the stage to chat with Jessica Sibley, executive editor of TIME . “Welcome, we’re so excited to have you here. I just want to congratulate you on everything you’ve accomplished and everything you’re doing ,” she began. “Thank you, it means a lot. It’s been a very busy few months, no doubt,” she replied. Sibley told her they were going to have a conversation “about your journey,” to which Meghan joked, “Do we only have 20 minutes? It’s been a long journey…”
Meghan, who participated as a keynote speaker at the event, spoke about her professional journey, but also reflected on how it has affected her personally. “I think the one confession I can make today, and I can say with complete confidence, is that I am happy, the happiest I’ve ever been . And that has to do with having such a supportive husband and healthy children who are happy with the freedom of their lives and the security of the environment we’ve created for them . Of all the things that have happened to me, I never would have imagined I’d get to this point and feel so happy and so grateful. Honestly.”
And the Duchess is very happy with the success of her different projects . We’re not just talking about the global impact of her Netflix series, With Love, Meghan , which has been renewed for a second season, but also her brand of products As Ever , whose first product launch sold out in 45 minutes . We also have to mention her new podcast, Confessions of a Female Founder , where she interviews female entrepreneurs and shares her own experiences in the business world.
She did, however, acknowledge that it wasn’t easy launching three projects at the same time: “You see everything come to life, and you try to give yourself the space and opportunity to make mistakes, to know that you don’t get it right every day.” ” The last year and a half has been incredibly busy and ambitious ,” she said.
The interviewer talked about being in the media spotlight all the time and wanted to know how she manages to “ minimize the noise coming from outside ” and if she has any tools in that regard: “I’ve made a very conscious effort to create boundaries for myself and my mental health, for my well-being… and, truth be told, for my children as well.”
“ I realize that not only am I raising a strong, confident young woman, but I also have a son , and I think it’s equally important for young men to be raised with a confidence and sense of self that empowers the women around them as well. So I try to model that behavior, but I think it all starts with what’s happening internally,” she said, referring to her best efforts to “not give any credence” to anything that comes to her from the outside.
She prefers to focus on her professional projects and, above all, on taking care of her family. “It’s as important to me as Archie losing his first tooth this week . It’s about to happen, and I just hope we’re back home in time.” Prince Harry’s wife believes that when you become a parent, your perspective on life changes completely: “What seems huge becomes so microscopic compared to what happens to your children…”
Grabbing headlines day in and day out “has become a part of my daily life.” “They tell me what I need to know , and beyond that, I’m usually late to a lot of things… and I don’t care. That’s part of what gives me peace. It also allows me to have a very strategic focus on the products, creative work, or production work we want to get done. It gives me a lot of mental space, because I’m not caught up in that whirlwind so many of us get caught up in,” she confessed.
Finally, Meghan emphasized the importance of finding joy in the small moments and caring for others , stating that her “love language is caring for people.” “That nourishes me as well. In many ways, it’s part of my self-care. And it can feel confusing to some people: How can you be there for so many people and not end up burning out? But a lot of times, if you do it in an intentional and authentic way, it actually recharges you instead of draining you,” she said.
