Lady Gaga Unveils New Album ‘Mayhem’: A Journey Through Chaos and Confidence
In an exclusive interview with Good Morning America, Lady Gaga opened up about her highly anticipated seventh solo studio album, “Mayhem,” which is now available for streaming worldwide. The multi-talented artist, who has won 14 Grammy Awards and an Oscar, described the album as a reflection of both personal chaos and the tumultuous state of the world.
The title “Mayhem” encapsulates the duality Gaga has experienced throughout her career, where she often felt like she was playing multiple roles. “I was playing multiple different people throughout my whole career and kind of having to hold the duality of that,” she explained. Gaga shared that this sense of personal mayhem mirrors her feelings about the chaotic nature of the world today, and through her artistry, she aimed to create something that celebrates life, even amidst the chaos.
One of the central themes of “Mayhem” is Gaga’s exploration of her fears regarding a return to pop music. As a prominent female figure in the industry, she faced external pressures and doubts about her identity. “Returning to pop music for me was a little bit like something I was afraid of because I wondered if I was believing what those people were saying,” Gaga admitted. However, she approached the studio sessions with renewed confidence, affirming her belief in her own artistry.
